Without Immediate Divine Intervention…
Australia’s First Recession in 22
Years Is Not Just Plausible…
This was the headline from one of our Non Christian publications yesterday; Money morning by Port Phillip Publishing (please click on the link to read the whole article)
Today, as with the thousands of other Christians who are on board (and even many secularists who see the global collapse approaching), I strongly believe we are living in unique, critical times as we are seeing Bible prophecy literally playing out before our very eyes.
In these times it is not for us to be fearful, for we know all things are in HIS hands. We are told that there will be times when all worldly things we know will fall away, but we are in His Hands and He protects, He provides and HE Prepares the way for the return of the King. I believe that WE are in that amazing time of preparation.
We need to:
Romans 12:9; 1 Cor 14:29; 1 John 4:1 also reminds us that we are to judge, discern, test, etc., the teachings we receive.
‘Spiritual discernment is the God-given, Spirit-empowered ability to understand and interpret truth, so that we can apply truth to our lives, thus bringing glory to God and furthering our enjoyment of Him.”
The only way to practice discernment is to test against the bible. (1 Thess 5:21).
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). Don’t fall prey to one of them. Be discerning.
“Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7).
Solomon was probably one of the greatest “getters” of all time. He collected houses, gold, fame, friends, influence, wives and children. He knew how to get things and it was he who said “in all your getting, get understanding”.
There is nothing more important to get than understanding. It is free, yet very few ever get it. Yes, we will go to the ends of the earth to get all sorts of trinkets that are of lesser importance and we will pay enormous sums of money for those things. But the most important and most valuable thing to get is free, and very few bother with it.
The first diamond in South Africa, was found by a farm boy who picked it up and took it home for his sisters to play with. He did not have a clue that what he had picked up was worth a lot, and that people would come from all over the world to find what he thought was just a stone.
In the same way, understanding is freely available yet we throw it away without realizing that what we had is worth more than anything in life. Job says that man, in general, does not know the value of understanding (Job 28:12). “Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her” (Proverbs 3:13-15).
HOW DO WE GET A THIS UNDERSTANDING?
I remember going to a seminar years ago conducted by a man called James Rohan.
He stated: “ If you want understanding and wisdom, surround yourself with men a women who are positive, have been the journey, and are willing to sow into your life”.
